Shiatsu follows many of the theories of acupuncture but is done mainly with palm and finger pressure. A session can include acupressure, stretching and suppling movements and massage techniques, all designed to ensure a smooth flow of energy around the body. Horses tend to respond very well to this type of therapy as it involves touch. It may be useful for muscular skeletal problems, anxiety, allergies and as a general feel good session.
