MIRACLE IN A BOTTLE…

…That’s how they describe ‘Noni’ Juice in the USA – currently the fastest growing natural product of it’s kind in the world - but only just available for sale in the UK having spent months undergoing rigorous testing by the EU Food Standards Commission. ‘Noni’ or Morinda Citrifolia, to give it it’s proper name, has been cultivated for centuries by the French Polynesians who long ago discovered the fruit’s wide-ranging health benefits for themselves and their animals, using the plant both internally and externally. ‘Noni’ Juice users around the world have made some astonishing claims about it’s healing powers but you know what they say about things that seem to good to be true.. So, sceptical but intrigued, the only choice was to try it for myself and see!
The first thing you notice about ‘Noni’ is the smell/taste. The taste of ‘Noni’ Juice is very individual and seems to be directly related to the toxicity of the body - and tackling toxins is one of the first things on ‘Noni’s’ long list of things to do! The Company advise a 3-month period of dosing to ensure benefit but it was much faster for both the horses and me. A peaceful and refreshing nights sleep was the first and very welcome change, having had a disrupted sleep pattern for the past 5 years. The amount of sleep required was next, falling from 9 to 7 hrs a night whilst energy, mental acuity and concentration were significantly improved. In addition, a reduction in appetite together with the increase in energy has meant the loss of over a stone in weight. Well I did say it sounded to good to be true! I’ve since discovered that all of these benefits and far more are well documented in the scientific research and testimony of the millions of people who take ‘Noni’ Juice as part of their daily health regime.
Interestingly, for many people the taste of the Juice alters during the period of detoxification until you are left with a delicious fruity flavour. Although quite startling on it’s own, the most unexpected change arrived on the fifth day in the form of Holly’s fetlock/pastern which had returned to normal size after 3 years of being enlarged following an injury sustained prior to him coming to me as a rescue.
After a week of continuous dosing, the Horses had decided that actually, this ‘Noni’ Juice was pretty powerful stuff and arguing by the tack room door soon became the order of the day when the ‘Noni’ bottle appeared, each one determined to be the first to receive their dose - and that of the others - if at all possible. Holly with his new slim line ankle still can’t get enough – following me, or should I say, the ‘Noni’ syringe around the yard to ensure his is the mouth it goes into!! If this wasn’t proof enough that maybe there was something to this ‘Miracle in a Bottle’ claim, my next experience certainly confirmed it.
A friend’s young dog, the runt of a litter and advised by the vet to be put down on more than one occasion due to his incessant vomiting, diarrhoea and complete lack of energy or interest in life was started on a small dose of ‘Noni’ Juice in December 2003 and has not looked back.
