CHINESE herbal formula works on the "whole body" and it’s organs through the immune system. It’s the special combination of herbs within each formula that supports the horses immune system, thus promoting health and well-being. All formulas are completely safe and have been approved by leading equine veterinary practices. In addition, to ensure continuity of effectiveness, extensive trials for Quality Hoof Formula were conducted under the guidance of Dr Sue Kempston at the Royal (DICK) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh. Without exception the horses responded positively.
How do they work?
Easily, because we have formulated the Chinese herbs into a biscuit horses absolutely love them. They are administered 2 hours before or after concentrate feed. As there is no weighing or measuring the administration is fuss-free and easy. Due to being fed on an empty stomach the powerful effectiveness of the herbs is absorbed straight into the blood stream.
As the biscuits are given as a course it is important that the course be continued throughout. You will be able to see a difference, on average after about 2-3 weeks. All formulae are safe, vegetarian, natural and completely free of any animal products or endangered plants. They are made solely from the most pure, human-grade Chinese herbs, barley flour, 100% cane molasses, pure peppermint oil and water.

Scientific research
From the X-ray photos here you can see that prior to having the Quality Hoof Formula Masie’s Hoof showed formation typical of poor hoof structure. There are no horn tubules at all.
12 months later good quality horn has developed with the wall of the horn composed of horn tubules.
