Living naturally Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery is based in the Brecon Beacons with its tranquility, fresh air and spectacular views. We have two groups of horses living out 24/7 one group consists of our coloured stallion, Donald running with mares, foals and yearlings, the second consists of geldings and fillies. At present we are converting our meadows to contain a lot more herbs and forage to increase the availability of trace elements. The horses have access to trees and hedges and in the majority of cases access to natural water. About Us Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery is owned and run by Nick and Pam Sanders. We moved from London 24 years ago and have been based here ever since. We began keeping a variety of livestock but our main business was Free Range laying hens. We started to keep horses naturally some 6 years ago. From here we began to transform the farm into a purpose built centre for learning about and keeping horses naturally. The large chicken shed has been converted into an indoor school with a lecture room
and a round pen has been erected. This enables us to hold courses, workshops, clinics
and demonstrations all on one yard with access to our own horses plus horses visiting
for therapy, training or re- We welcome visitors at any time, but its best to ring first to make sure we are available Nick is an Equine Shiatsu practitioner trained by Jill Blake and is also a Reiki practitioner.

Here at Oakwood Horsemanship we are dedicated to helping you and your horse enjoy
your time together more, by showing you how to stay safe, resolve issues through
communication and reach your goals - The grace and power of the horse has inspired man for centuries. However, sometimes the very essence of what the horse is, his silent strength, his
freedom of spirit, his honesty and his sensitivity can result in behaviour that we
find challenging and difficult to cope with, and the very qualities we so value become
a source of confusion and frustration.
